Once you have created a Template, you can create a new Event from that template saving you time by not having to enter the same “boilerplate” content for every meeting. There are two methods to do this, which are detailed below.
Create An Event From A Template
To do this, you will go directly to your template and then create your event from there.
- Select “Events” from the top menu
- Select the “Templates” tab at the top of the screen
- Select the Template you wish to use
- Select the “Tools” button and then the “Create a New Event from this template…” option
- A pop up will ask you to confirm. Select “OK”.
You will now be in your new event so you can customize it and change it as you see fit. No changes that you make will affect your template.
Pull Your Template Into A New Event
The result is the same but with this method you simply start in a different place. Instead of going to the template, you’ll start with a new Event.
- Select “Events” from the top menu
- Select the blue “+New Event” button
- Set the Title, Date & Time, Description (optional) and the Board for your new event
- Under the “Create from Template” option (see #6 in the image below), select the template that you’d like to use.
You will now be in your new event so you can customize it and change it as you see fit. No changes that you make will affect your template.
